NOW WITH INCREASED FLOW NUMBERS, HORSEPOWER AND SPOOL TIMES!!! This is Bullseye-Power latest release for 2010. The S series BorgWarner cartridges are making a name for themselves in sport compact racing since GM and Toyota teams have started switching to them for even more power than units from the competition! With a maximum mass flow rate of 55 lbs/min, the S200 is a high boost and efficient turbo that can flow enough air to support 550 horsepower. The S200’s are perfect turbos for the daily driver that needs quick spool, efficient enough to run high boost on pump gas and flow enough air to tear up the track on weekends! ETT technology, or Extended Tip Technology has pioneered fully by BorgWarner turbochargers. Just take a look at the compressor wheel to the right and notice the massive exducer of this turbocharger! The taller the wheel, the more easily it can run high boost. The longer the tips, the longer it can sustain high boost under loads. Extended fins do not hamper spool-up what so ever. The compressor wheel is designed to remove excess weight, reducing overall rotating mass. Of particular importance is the reduction of weight at the outer edges which is a major factor for reducing inertia. The weight reduction and where it is reduced allows these compressor wheels to spool FAST. BorgWarner did not stop there, the compressor cover is fully cast to match the compressor wheel, not adapted from some other application that wasn’t designed for performance. The cover features a fully functional port shroud known as Map Width Enhancement Grooves that allow air to be pulled and fed directly into the second set of blades on the compressor wheel outside of the main inlet. This most noticeably increases the efficiency of the compressor as well as over air flow, hence the name, Map Width Enhancement Grooves: it produces “wider” compressor maps! In comparison tests, this little giant has already smacked the famous Garrett T67 compressor wheel right in the mouth producing more peak horsepower and spooling faster. The quicker spool of the S200 graph make a wider torque area, thus having a much more streetable or “stronger” power band! The most dramatic part of the S200 toppling the old T67 wheel is that it comfortably ran higher boost than the T67! When the test came to a close on the little Integra which both turbo’s were tested on, the S200 produced 100 more horsepower and 80 foot lbs of torque and also made that power in a more usable fashion.
